When you download any of our free Chaos Stock projects, you are agreeing to our purchase contract. This means that you can use the graphics for any composition and that composition can be distributed however you want to. This contract also states that you cannot sell or distribute the original project, (or a similar likeness), its rendered footage, or its support material. Read the terms below for the legal explanation.

NOTICE TO USER: This is a contract. By proceeding with the installation of the Content you accept all the terms and conditions of this license agreement. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions of this Agreement, please return the entire package unused, to Digital Anarchy, Inc. ("Digital Anarchy") or the location where you obtained it for a refund. By using any part of the Content, you are agreeing to the terms in the following contract.  

This package contains digital files and media ("Content") and related explanatory written materials ("Documentation"). This is not a sale. Digital Anarchy grants you a nonexclusive license to use the Content and Documentation provided that you agree to the following:

1. Installation Restrictions. You may install the Content on a single computer. The primary user of the computer on which the Content is installed or used may also install the Content on one home or portable computer.  However, the Content may not be used on the secondary computer concurrent with the primary computer. Please contact Digital Anarchy for multi-user licenses.

2. Use of Content. The Content may be used, altered, or incorporated into any derivative work (final media files or After Effects projects) done by the end user (for use in, but not limited to, film, broadcast, commercial, industrial, educational, and personal purposes). The Content or any derivative work may not be sold, licensed, reproduced, or distributed freely, in whole or in part, as an After Effects project, digital media file, or as ANY part of a stock background/footage product, except as noted in this license.

Derivative media files may be distributed to customers or clients of the end user for broadcast. Derivative After Effects projects may not be distributed unless another license is purchased.

Derivative media files may be distributed via retail products (DVDs, Videos, etc) provided that the Content does not provide a substantial amount of the value of the retail product.

3. Ownership. The Content and all Documentation is owned by Digital Anarchy and is proprietary and copyrighted by Digital Anarchy. Digital Anarchy retains ownership of all still images, video, animations, project files, and/or representations thereof in any format, digital or otherwise. The Content is protected by United States Copyright Law and International Treaty provisions. 

4. Transfer. You may not rent, lease, sublicense or lend the Content. You may, however, transfer all your rights to use the Content to another person or legal entity provided that you transfer this Agreement, the Content, including all copies, updates, and prior versions, and all Documentation to such person or entity and that you retain no copies.

5. Indemnity. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Digital Anarchy, Inc. and all of its officers, directors, employees and agents ("Those Indemnified") for any and all losses, damages, liabilities, claims, costs or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, incurred directly or indirectly by Those Indemnified in connection with the use of the Content for any unlawful, unauthorized or prohibited purpose.
